DESCRIPTION

The Facility and Engine Control System (FECS) is a modular programmable electronic system which supervises and controls multiple functions and eliminates complex wiring requirements associated with patch panels.

The FECS is microprocessor controlled and operates independently of any data acquisition system.

The FECS provides manual and automatic control of facility components (pumps, valves, fans, lights, etc.) and engine components (relays, valves, servo motors, etc.)

The FECS eliminates requirements for patch panels, overlays, and rewiring when control functions are altered.

The FECS provides for user defined functions and operations -- relay logic, triggering signals (DC or analog), alarm conditions, and interlocks are all user defined variables.

The FECS can be adapted to multiple configurations as required for user application.

  • Operator acknowledged alarms.
  • An acknowledged alarm silences only the audible warning -- the corresponding visual alarm remains until condition is corrected.

  • Control panels with touch screen type switches and indicators for frequently changed functions.
  • Push type illuminated switches for permanent functions.

    Master Control Unit:

  • Houses STD Bus components and provides back panel connections to other units and facility wiring.

    Facility Annunciator Panel:

  • 19"W x 9"H x 4.5"D
  • Rack or console mountable.
  • Houses incandescent indicators, audible beeper, non turn off volume control, and lamp test switch.

    Unit Under Test (UUT) Control Panel:

  • Color, touch sensitive, flat panel display.

    Custom Panels:

  • Designed to meet user defined layouts and installation requirements.

    Facility Control Panel:

  • 19"W x 9"H x 4.5"D
  • Rack or console mountable.
  • Houses illuminated switches for direct and indirect control. Also contains an emergency switch section and lamp test.

    Matrix:

  • 19"W x 7"H x 3.5"D
  • Rack mountable 16 x 16 matrix.
  • Switches multiple power sources and functions up to 10 AMPS per circuit.
  • Back panel connections to unit under test terminations.
  • Expandable by increments of 16 x 16.

    ELECTRICAL

  • Solid state components.
  • 120VAC, 60HZ and 28VDC input power.
  • Operating temperature: 0oC to 40oC.
  • Serial interface for remote configuration and/or operations.
