Precise, accurate, repeatable and reliable control for jet engine throttles, manual fuel valves and similar applications. Designed to interface with current and future jet engines. (For dynamometer control, see specifications for Model PS4).
Field proven at Government and Commercial sites since 1984.
Local and Remote operations. During Remote operations control panel illuminates and displays functions as if it was in Local mode.
Software written on remote systems for previous models will drive Model PS5 without modifications.
Continuous readout of angle provided on large LED display.
Continuous angle output in BCD or BINARY for external use.
Two continuous analog outputs provide voltage or current for external controls. One output is 0 to 5 VDC proportional to the throttle angle, and the other output is +/- 12VDC derived by a formula that uses the throttle angle as the variable. Formula is downloaded.
SYNCHRO type output (option) provides control for synchro or resolver type motors.
Operational instructions displayed as text in small LCD display.
Test mode provides verification of operations.
Backup mode provides direct control of indexer.
Two step rigging.
Set engine's throttle rig point. Select "RIG" and "ENTER" at control panel.
Interlocks prevent driving above idle and/or into AB zone(s).
Unique "BAT" switch provides manual operation for increase and decrease motions. Each direction has two rates, medium and fast. (Rates are changeable)
Throttle operations can be continuous, jogged, chopped, or target and rate selected.
Analog inputs (Temperatures, pressures, etc.) for chop logic on limit violations such as:
Chop to idle, then cutoff.
Chop to idle, stay at idle.
Chop to cutoff.
User selected set points and limits per engine type. Ten engine types or setups can be saved.
All rates, targets, and functions are changeable from control panel or remote interface. Key-Lock prevents accidental changes.
